The name “ThemEDH” is a nod to my focus on Themed EDH (or Commander, if you prefer!) decks. But it’s also a bit of a play on words for Theme Digestible Homebrews – which perfectly sums up what I love to create and share here.

Our Mission: Flavorful Fun on a Budget

This blog is dedicated to exploring the creative side of Commander by building fun, flavorful decks around specific themes, characters, stories, or mechanics. The twist? We do it all while sticking to a strict $50 budget (based on TCGplayer Market prices at the time of brewing). My goal is to prove you can have a blast brewing and playing unique decks without breaking the bank. Like the tagline says, we’re “Making fun decks where the prices are easy to swallow”!

About the Brewer

Hi, I’m Josh, just a casual Magic player based out here in rainy Portland, Oregon. I’ll be honest – I enjoy the puzzle and creativity of building decks (usually even more than playing them!). I’m definitely not a competitive expert or rules guru; I’m just an enthusiast who loves diving into Magic’s lore and mechanics to come up with “crazy ideas” for decks that tell a story and work on a kitchen table budget.

This blog is my way of sharing that deckbuilding passion and hopefully giving you some helpful inspiration and practical lists for your own brews.
